Nigerian singer, Small Doctor who was arrested a few days ago for 'illegal possesion' of firearms has explained the circumstances that led to his arrest by the Nigerian Police and described it as a case of misunderstanding. The singer was arraigned earlier on Tuesday at the Ebute Metta Magistrate court along with the other occupants in his car and was subsequently released. Small Doctor wrote; “It was a case of misunderstanding and everything is settled. My fans need to know that I will not get involved in any illegality. The younger ones look up to me for hope and I will never let them down” he said. Small Doctor insisted that he had licence to carry a gun, saying that he was stunned when he later read that he was in possession of illegal firearms, “as I said earlier, I cannot be involved in any illegal activity. There is no way I will hold a firearm without having a licence” he added.

THE mastermind of the Yahoo Plus gang that abducted and murdered a 300-level student of Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, Elozino Ogege, has slumped and died. Thursday, less than two weeks after suspected Yahoo Plus boys decapitated a woman. he Nigerian Army has said its troops on Tuesday repelled Boko Haram insurgents’ attack in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State. The army in a statement on its official Twitter handle said that the troops repelled the insurgents’ attack while attempting to infiltrate Cross-Kauwa in Kukawa at about 8 p.m. on Tuesday. It added that it would provide details on the attack later. “Troops of 157 Strike Force Battalion at about 8 p.m. today (Nov. 27) 2018; repelled some elements of Boko Haram terrorists who attempted to infiltrate Cross-Kauwa in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno, details later,” the army wrote.

Ohio appears set to become the first state to accept bitcoin for tax bills, a show of support for a technology that has garnered lots of hype but failed to gain traction as a form of payment. Beginning this week, Ohio businesses will be able to go to the website OhioCrypto.com and register to pay everything from cigarette sales taxes to employee withholding taxes with bitcoin. Eventually, the initiative will expand to individual filers. The idea to accept the digital currency for taxes came from state Treasurer Josh Mandel, who has held the office since 2011 and started taking an interest in bitcoin several years ago. Mr. Mandel, 41 years old, views the new program both as a convenience for filers and an opportunity for “planting a flag” for Ohio in the currency’s adoption.
