This sounds hilarious but a lecturer in one the Universities in the Southeast ‘transformed’ into Spiderman to attend to his students. The unnamed lecturer was spotted on Wednesday morning waling into his office in Spiderman costume. It was gathered that some non-teaching staff present when the incident happened, were stunned to see a man dressed in Spiderman costume walking into the office complex. As they greeted the lecturer and called him his name, he ignored every greeting, pretending not to know anyone since he was not ‘human’. It's no longer news that the federal government have ordered all Vice Chancellor to enforce "No Work no pay" policy  In a reaction to the memo, the Chairman of University of Ibadan chapter of ASUU, Deji Omole, described the federal government as shameless for owing lecturers seven years of unpaid, earned academic allowances. He said despite the debt, the government still wants lecturers to continue to work while the presidency and the National Assembly ‘feed fat’ on the wealth of the nation. Mr Omole in a statement made available to PREMIUM TIMES Friday evening said it is sad that a government that prides itself as having integrity has shown it lacks integrity by failing to honour agreements reached with the union. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Thursday announced that registration for 2019/ 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will commence in December. The Head of Media of the Board, Dr Fabian Benjamin, announced this while addressing newsmen during the conduct of promotion exercise for the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), at the board’s Computer Based Test (CBT) Centre in Abuja,NAN reports. According to Benjamin, no specific date has been fixed for the commencement of the registration yet. He, however, said that plans were underway to do so as soon as possible as the board was initially waiting for the pronouncement of the presidency on the reduction of the examinations fee, which was formally announced on Wednesday. THE mastermind of the Yahoo Plus gang that abducted and murdered a 300-level student of Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, Elozino Ogege, has slumped and died. Thursday, less than two weeks after suspected Yahoo Plus boys decapitated a woman. The Federal Government has again failed to reach an agreement with the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) over its ongoing nationwide strike. This comes as the meeting between the government and union held on Monday behind closed doors at the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja ended without a resolution. National President of ASUU, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, briefed reporters at the end of the meeting which lasted over three hours and presided over by the Minister of Education, Mr Adamu Adamu. He said the meeting to resolve the over three weeks industrial action would continue at a later date. Meanwhile, the House of Representatives said it was worried about the ongoing strike which has grounded activities in most universities across the country. Scientists hopes to hand a moon above the most popular city of western China, Chengdu and moon will be made by humans. The moon made is designed accordingly to supplement the moon at night, it will shine brighter than the original moon. It will cast dusk like glow all around the city.
