Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich, has reportedly notified Maurizio Sarri his future is in jeopardy and is ready to rival Manchester United for the services of Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, according to the UK Express. The Blues returned to winning ways with a 5-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday, following their 4-0 humiliation at Bournemouth. However, Abramovich is already losing patience with Sarri, whose side are locked in a three-way battle with Arsenal and United, for the final Champions League qualifying spot. Chelsea were reported to be interested in Pochettino last summer, before appointing Sarri to succeed Antonio Conte. Sarri made an instant impact at Stamford Bridge, but results and performances have dipped, since he suffered the first defeat of his reign against Pochettino’s Spurs side back in November. Manchester United interim manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is confident the team is more than capable of finishing in the top four this season. Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho in December and since his arrival, the Red Devils have won eight of the nine games. Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has hinted to Unai Emery that he wants to play alongside Alexandre Lacazette in Arsenal’s attack. Emery has struggled at times to find a tactical system that accomodates both Aubameyang and Lacazette. Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, pointed the finger at Eden Hazard, during his 50-minute long dressing room inquest, after Chelsea’s embarrassing defeat to Bournemouth on Wednesday night. Sarri kept the players locked in the dressing room after the 4-0 loss, even asking the rest of the coaching staff and physios to leave, so he could be alone with the players. Speaking afterwards, the Italian said he “wanted to talk to them alone, without anybody else” as he attempted to “understand” why they had performed so badly in the second half. Barcelona boss, Ernesto Valverde, has confirmed that Denis Suarez is close to joining Arsenal. “Denis is about to go to Arsenal, there is not much left to make it official. “We hope he does well. He has always acted with dedication and we are happy with him,” Valverde said. Suarez has renewed his contract with the club until 2021 and will now be allowed to sign for Arsenal on loan this January , Marca reports.
